Rooker, Michael.

Michael Rooker Autograph. Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. 10 x 8 inches. Black and white promotional for the movie Henry: Portrait Of A Serial Killer. Signed in blue ink by Rooker. A rare item from this cult classic and gem of a horror film. You will be hard pressed to find another. Suitable for framing. Although the title makes Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer seem like a cut-rate slasher flick, the movie is actually one of the most disturbing and terrifying examinations of mass murderers ever filmed. Loosely based on the story of confessed murderer Henry Lee Lucas, the film follows Henry (Michael Rooker) as he selects innocent victims -- occasionally with his roommate Otis (Tom Towles) -- and kills them, capturing their deaths on videotape. Many of these murders rank among the most brutal ever portrayed on film. The violence and the clinical, detached portrayal of Henry and his horrifying actions make Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer a disturbing, thought-provoking film, but it certainly isn't one for every taste. Finished in 1986, the movie wasn't released until 1990, when it was greeted with both positive reviews and considerable controversy. [-Rotten Tomatoes]. Rooker is best known for his role on the TV series The Walking Dead and his role in the Guardian of the Galaxy films.      Horror. Serial Killer. Murder. Henry Lee Lucas. Michael Rooker. Queen Mary I of England.

Original Queen Mary I of England Cut Signature and Portrait Engraving. [Bloody Mary]. Autograph. Signature cut: c1553-1558. Engraving: 1785. Portrait: 7.5 x 10.5 inches. Cut: 4.5 x 2.5 inches. Matted overall: 12 x 16 inches. Original signature cut of Queen Mary I extracted from original period leaf and pasted to later paper. Original engraving of Queen Mary I from Harrison’s edition of Paul de Rapin-Thoyras, ‘The History of England’, 1785, trimmed at edges lacking publishing print at bottom, minor pin hole at lower oval of portrait. First Mary Queen of England (1516-1558). Only surviving child of Henry VIII and his first wife Catherine of Aragon. Queen of England & Ireland from 1553, married Philip II of Spain in 1554. As a devout Roman Catholic she obtained the restoration of papal supremacy and sanctioned the persecution of Protestants, the number of executions earned her the nickname ‘Bloody Mary’. She was succeeded by her half-sister Elizabeth I. The signature cut and engraving were acquired from the personal collection of well-known antiquarian bookseller and scholar Franklin V. Spellman (1945-2015), of Krown & Spellman, Booksellers (1977-2014). Spellman specialized in 16th and 17th century literature. The two items were kept together and we find no reason to believe the signature is not authentic. Due to the rarity of the signature we locate only a few references to compare and our signature appears to be on point to others located.
